Fucking Up

Yep! That is all! I am maintaining my weight but I am not dropping any pounds. I'm not going to pretend like I don't know why I am not losing weight. I KNOW! I love candy, starchy foods, and just great food period! I still workout but that is not enough. Time get back on track and stop the BS. I just wanted to stop in. I am horrible with keeping up with this blog! Lol! I will do better I promise!

I'm Back!

Hello! I'm back! Sorry for the abandonment of this blog, but hey life happens. I am still on my weight loss journey. I have had my ups and downs but for the most part, everything is staying steady. Not what I want, but I am not gaining so that's a plus. I have a plan of action for this week that I am going to stick to this week. The goal is to workout 5 days a week. I recently purchased a Wii and Wii Fit Plus and I must say, working out has never been so much fun! Between the MJ dance game and Just Dance 2, I can easily play for at least an hour at a time. Last week, that was all I did. But I do know I need to include running back into my plan. So I figure if I run 3 days and play something on my Wii/Wii Fit 2 days I will have a healthy balance and I won't get bored. I might mix a few dvds from the P90X series in the mix on the days I don't feel like running. I get really bored with work outs so I have to keep rotating them so I don't lose interest. I will keep you guys posed. I am so going to try to do better with this blog! :) Oh well, enough rambling! You guys have a lovely Saturday!

P90x Lean Day 1

What's good people! I am back on my P90x workout routine. I must say, it feels good to be back! I took a break from P90x and started running. I needed to switch it up so I wouldn't get bored. I started back on the lean workout schedule because I want more cardio and less weight lifting. When I get to my goal weight, I will then focus on toning.  According to my heart rate monitor, I burned 946 calories tonight with the Core Synergistics workout. Woot Woot! I am still in love with my heart rate monitor and I do feel like it is very accurate. I was in the zone tonight! With that said, I'm tired as hell!

Happy New Year!!




New Year, New Goals! I have a list of things that I am going to do this year. Not all of them are weight loss related but they are very beneficial to my life.
1. Trust in God and let Him be the leader in every aspect of my life. I am getting out the driver's seat! I am going to let Him transform me!
2. Find a church and join!
3. Build my self confidence.
4. Take the relationship with my fiance to new heights!
5. Keep working out and losing weight.
6. Build my savings.
7. Slow down on shopping. *Keyword: Slow Down
8. Stick to my budget.
9. Work on better time management skills
10. Stay positive about my work environment
11. Get promoted on my current job
12. Manage daily stress
13. Volunteer more.  *I kind of fell off of volunteering when I was going through an emotional low.
14. Take better care of my natural hair.
15. Stay Fierce and Fabulous!

I am determined to make all these goals a reality! What are your goals for the new year?

Holiday Weight

Hello you guys!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! So I have gained 3 pounds... I know why so I'm not tripping. All those good cakes and pies I couldn't resist. lol! Now on to today's workout. I went for a nice jog on the treadmill today. 2.39 miles completed in 30 minutes. I could have kept going but some people that didn't believe in wearing deodorant arrived and funked up the place. I felt really good after my jog. I got a new toy too! I went to Walmart and purchased a Pro-Form TX-200 Heart Rate Monitor Watch. My heart rate was accurate but it didn't calculate my speed like I thought it would. I am going to try it again, and if it doesn't work I will be returning it. I have my eye on a Garmin Forerunner anyway. The price tag is way more than the Pro-Form but as I get serious about this working out stuff, I want to have serious accessories too!

Well that's my spill about this thing call weight loss!

It's Going Down



YAY!!! Ok so I know I have to get better at updating this blog but hey I'm busy! Anyway, last time I posted, I was pushing the 180 mark. But not anymore! I am going to keep this up. I feel better and my confidence is going up! I have been exercising at least 3 times a week. I do a mix of P90X and maybe morning run on the weekend. The plan is to increase my workouts during the week. More workouts + more calories burned = more weight loss! Until next time!

P90X Day 1


So I decided to do the Cardio X for my day 1 of P90X. I originally started with the Plyometrics but 30 minutes in, I started feeling sick. I had that feeling when I first did the workout. So not to be defeated, I popped in the Cardio X. This has a mixture of Yoga X, Plyometrics, and some core workouts. I'm in love! Plyometrics is a lot of jumping and I get motion sickness when I do that workout. So I think I am going to swap the Plyometrics for the Cardio X until I get my endurance back up. That will be the only workout I will be substituting. I know I am not going in order either but I wanted that cardio workout today! I think I am going to start back running again too. I really like to run outside, but since it is getting dark when I leave work that won't be happening. I guess I'll have to get back on the treadmill. Sigh..... Oh well, time to shower and get myself ready for work in the morning! Tomorrow is a new day!
